Who is the employer?

Mixon HR is a Consulting and HR Administrative Services Outsourcing (ASO) provider. This means we simply implement your policies. There is not a co-employment agreement and you will remain the employer of record for all employees. The ASO model is well suited and ideal for many different types of businesses for employers that wish to maintain the employer of record.

If you’re unfamiliar with an ASO:

Administrative services only (ASO) is an arrangement in which a company funds its own employee benefit plan, such as a health insurance program while purchasing only administrative services from the insurer.

Typical services offered in an ASO situation can include:

  • Managing COBRA, HRA, HSA, FSA, and the like.
  • Communicating with employees.
  • Managing benefits enrollment.
